Underwood Finger Flite Champion Vintage Typewriter Product Details   This vintage Underwood typewriter looks like it was purchased yesterday. The carrying case is nice and clean as is the machine. All keys are in place and the typing action is nice and smooth... as smooth as these things can be when you are used to a computer keyboard. It still has a ribbon in it so I typed away for quite awhile on it. Of course afterwards my fingers ached for awhile, oh how easily we become accustomed to the finer things in life. It still has the key to lock the case and it has a little black brush with the Underwood name on it I guess it is to clean the keys. It also has one of the old typewriter erasers with the brush on one end. The typewriter eraser is no longer included. This vintage typewriter displays the harder-to-find "round" version of the 1950's body. I found the below information on a website about vintage typewriters of this make and model: Note the rounded shoulders on the sides of the machine. This variant has tabulator (key-set with the tiny keys outboard the top row) and margin set placement visible through the paper table via slots. Centered, inserted emblem on front. Hermes Baby Vintage Manual Typewriter With Case, Vintage Manual Portable Typewriter Product Details   Hermes Baby Vintage Manual Typewriter With Case, Vintage Manual Portable Typewriter The Hermes typewriters were designed in Switzerland. The first Hermes Baby was launched in 1935. As its name suggests, the model is a compact portable, weighting less than 8 lb and was no higher than a big box of matches.  Despite of its size, the machine has all the features of a larger portable typewriter of the times. This is a great vintage manual typewriter, the Hermes Baby. In its day it was very popular with the "in crowd" writer's due to its size and ease of portability. It would be great for a modern day student, occasional typist or today's "in crowd" poets and author's.  The latches on the lid work great, they are the two chrome colored buttons on the lid. All of the keys work well too. It measures about 10 1/4" wide and 11 1/2" deep. It is in very good, used condition with a few light scuff marks on the corners especially.
