Hermes Baby Vintage Manual Typewriter With Case, Vintage Manual Portable Typewriter
The Hermes typewriters were designed in Switzerland. The first Hermes Baby was launched in 1935. As its name suggests, the model is a compact portable, weighting less than 8 lb and was no higher than a big box of matches. Despite of its size, the machine has all the features of a larger portable typewriter of the times. This is a great vintage manual typewriter, the Hermes Baby. In its day it was very popular with the "in crowd" writer's due to
its size and ease of portability. It would be great for a modern day student, occasional typist or today's "in crowd" poets and author's. The latches on the lid work great, they are the two chrome colored buttons on the lid. All of the keys work well too. It measures about 10 1/4" wide and 11 1/2" deep. It is in very good, used condition with a few light scuff marks on the corners especially. |
