Frontis., 312 pp. Humorous poems "written in English as imperfectly spoken by Germans," with a convenient glossary of difficult words and phrases. This very funny book makes a lot of reference to the Civil War. It is covered in leatherette with gilt text and decoration on the front and back as well as spine, there is some discoloration to the lower edge
of the front cover and a spot on the back. Minimal wear to the top and bottom of the spine. There are 2 bookplates on the inside front cover and it was an ex-library book but they tore the card holder off of the inside back cover leaving some smutz. There is also a tear on the inside back page. The inside of this antique book is clean with a tight binding. This is a great find as this is a very hard book to find of this vintage. |

This is an interesting booklet, It is filled with factoids and cartoon like drawings reinforcing these facts all published by the UTU. This is a paperback format with a glossy cover. Unpaginated but probably 45 pages. I guess that Cliff Merritt is fictitional but he is the
resource for all of the information contained in this booklet. It measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/4". It is in very good condition. |
