A Poem for KayaShe smiles and my world lights up.
She takes my hand and my heart skips a beat. She says my name and I get dizzy. She laughs and I ache with love. My Kaya We watch butterflies and bumblebees as if we were their discoverers. We lay on our bellies and examine toadstools and look for the fairies that dance beneath them. We smell the essence of the finest rose in the yellow of the dandelion flowers. We marvel at the smallness of the grains of sand in the sandbox. My Kaya
The grass is so soft on our backs as we look up into the treetops. The fall leaves crinkle as we jump in to the pile we worked so hard to make. The grass tickles out toes as we walk barefooted through the backyard to cut flowers. The singing of the birds makes us sing as we watch them eat at the feeder. My Kaya ......
