May 2005 Victorian Rose Beads - I am currently crafting Victorian Rose Beads from my Antique Heirloom Roses. They should be ready in a week or so. There will not be very many of them so if you are interested please email me so that I can let you know when they are ready. I use no pesticides or other chemicals on my roses. This is the wonderful thing about heirloom plants, most don't need outside intervention such as this.
Vintage Kitchen Collectibles - I recently repainted my kitchen... UGH... and decided to sell most of my 20 year accumulation of antique, vintage and primitive kitchen collectibles. Look for those coming soon. I am also behind on the newsletter but hope to get one out later this week.
March 2005 You can now view our past Monthly (more or less) Antique Shop Newsletters as well as the little stories that I post here on this page. Just another way for us to keep you informed on the antiques and collectibles trends. Take A Look - Archived Newsletters & Antique Articles
I have been busy shopping for new inventory for the shop and have some amazing vintage barware pieces. Several barware sets including glasses and ice buckets, decanters and glasses, seltzer bottles, glass caddies and a beautiful amethyst glass cocktail shaker. I have many vintage dolls that were consigned to me, I have them here and can vouch for their condition. Saucy Walker, Tiny Tears and many others.
You need to move on the consigned items because these will all eventually end up either or ebay or my new favorite Overstock.com's auction site. I put them in the shop until I have them all ready to move to the auction. I also have obtained some early 1900's school books covering subjects such as Agriculture, Botany, Health and Hygeine and 2 early readers. My inventory of vintage, antique and other
out-of-print books is ever growing and I don't know if I will ever get it all online so please let me know what you are looking for and I will add it to my database. My vintage and antique costume jewelry inventory is really large as well and I will be spending quite a bit of time getting it online. I have spent alot of time the last few months working on an antiques and collectibles glossary of terms. I hope to have it ready to go live in a few weeks, it is being proofread
and facts checked. I want to make it easier for everyone to everyone to research their antiques and collectibles and this is just another step in that direction. I still think that the library is your best resource because you will never find all of the information you need online unless.... we can convince Google to copy all of the reference material that is available. There will be some redesign going on with the website so you might notice some differences
on a few of the pages and hopefully a whole new look in a few months. As always I am open to suggestions. Please just email me. Thank you for dropping by, Michelle aka Granny |
