I hope that this newsletter finds you happy and healthy. All is well here in the Midwest. We still have about 5 inches of snow on the ground left over from a 9 inch snowfall last week, which was absolutely beautiful. I built a snowman for the first time in atleast 10 years and it was so much fun. I highly recommend it for everyone who has the opportunity to do so. I used fruits and vegetables for the facial features so that
the birds and squirrels could have some food. Our high temperature is in the mid 20's, which is a little too frigid for my thin native Texan blood but that is okay, I don't have to venture out in it very often.
It has been awhile since my last newsletter due to several reasons. My 15 year old let a computer virus invade her computer and I was afraid to send out e-mails to anyone, our computers are hooked together on a network. It took me several weeks to get the virus completely cleaned
up. I have also made some pretty radical changes in my personal life … after 13 years of volunteering for a local non-profit organization I made the decision to stop my involvement. I was "volunteering" about 60 hours a month and it was becoming too much, it was taking away from everything else important in my life. So I have spent numerous hours packing up the organization's stuff and getting it to their office. I feel like an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders! Now I
can finally devote the time I want to my family, the shop, shopping and me.

Article – Don't Get Scammed Online

The number of Internet users has mushroomed to the point that over 50% of American households have online access, and even the most remote and poverty-stricken nations have cyber-cafes in their major cities. In fact, some of the cleverest scams seem to originate in third-world countries, but they are
certainly not exclusive to those locations.
Because so many collectors have turned to online auctions to sell and buy, I will focus on the most egregious frauds involving auction sites. The most popular and best-known of the online
