The Liquor Problem in All Ages by Daniel Dorchester; 1884 |
| Product Details | | The Liquor Problem in All Ages by Daniel Dorchester. Published by Phillips & Hunt, 1884. Hardcover, gilt spine lettering and pictorial and gilt stamped illustrations on front cover and spine are very bright and fresh. Hinges tight.
There is wear to the top and bottom of the spine and the corners are worn through to the boards. Very light foxing on front endpaper, contents clean. The folded graph page toward the back of the book does have some tears along the fold lines. 656 pages. There is a wonderful inscription on the front flysheet from a professor to a student, this was a "gift" for scoring high on a math quiz. Heavily illustrated with graphs and photos. This book is amazing... with its
detail and opinion on the prohibition, drinking and what it does to the mind and body. I adore reading antique books such as this. |
