This machine has been sold but at the antique shop I have an older square gumball machine in very good condition. If interested please call the antique shop for information. This vintage Blue Bird Gum Ball Machine was distributed by Universal Products Co. Ks City, Mo. This is for good ole 1 cent chewing gum and there is actually some gum still inside the machine. This vintage gumball machine has a glass globe and cast metal base. It measures about 12" tall and about 7
1/2" in diameter. The decal on the glass globe is in very good condition with some minimal rubbing. I do not have the key to this piece and the top knob is missing. It appears to be full of pennies too. Patented on April 16, 1915. It is jammed, I can't help but believe that the old gum inside of it is jamming it up and keeping it from working properly. I put my penny in and the lever would not come all the way forward but there are several gum
balls stuck down in the holes. |
