Does anyone have any info on Henry Joseph or Joseph Henry Furniture Co. I know it was out of Shelbyville, In.  I believe it went out of business sometime during the great depression.

I have a dresser that I would like to price and get the history on.

Thanks for your help.

Originally known as Root Furniture Co,  later known as
Albert Furniture Co  and  Henry Joseph Furniture Co.
The book  " Shelby County, Indiana:  History and Families" was  compiled by the Shelby Co Historical Soc and published in 1992 and covers the furniture industry and period in Shelby Co history quite well.

Joseph Henry was an American scientist who served as the first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. During his lifetime, he was considered one of the greatest American scientists since Benjamin Franklin. While building electromagnets, Henry discovered the electromagnetic phenomenon of self-inductance.
