I have been searching for several years--both here and the UK--for information on Robert Raikes.  I have no idea how I missed My Granny's Attic.  Anyway Robert Raikes seems to have disappeared.  I have a huge bear of his named Tyrone and a Bride and Groom.  Both are from the old days.  Does anyone know about Mr. Raikes?  Thank you.
(I'm not sure whether this belongs in general or in dolls.)

Robert Raikes was the designer of the Raikes bears for Applause. These were not inexpensive bears... I have 6. The secondary market is just not all that good for these bears even though most were a limited edition and numbered run.

They also had dolls by Robert Raikes that were not as popular at the time that have a better secondary market value.
