I bought an ash tray and matching dish with lid at a garage sale this weekend. They are aqua blue with gold speckles of paint and gold trim. The marks on the bottom are USA-440-B on the dish and 440-C on the lid. The ash tray is USA 440 and either E or F. Can you tell me what company these marks are from? Thanks for any info- Pam from KANSAS  Smiley

Without a photo to see the style of the piece it is hard to say but usually this type of make is indicative of a California Pottery.
