I have an oval serving platter/dish, approximately 9x6, white with a dark green double band at the edge. There is also a dark green band where the edge states to flare. Markings on the back are as follows: Nathan Straus & Sons Inc NY in a circle, surrounding a green fillagree type design; Grindley Hotel Ware with England under it; 10-24 stamped (pre-glaze) into surface. Can you please tell me anything about it?

Nathan Straus & Sons was a dept. store in NY - Nathan Straus (January 31, 1848?January 11, 1931) was an American merchant and philanthropist who went on to own two of New York City's biggest department stores -- R.H. Macy & Company and Abraham & Straus before giving away most of his fortune to the Zionist cause.

The dinnerware was made for them by Grindley for hotel use, meaning that it is more durable than everyday home use dinnerware.

To read about Straus - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Straus

The "24" indicates that it was made in 1924.

You can read about W.H. Grindley here
http://www.thepotteries.org/mark/g/grindley.htm yet this page http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/471.htm indicates that the Grindley Hotel Ware Co. did not begin operation until 1954, but I think that is when they added Ltd. to their mark.
